The Sharaf Rashidov Science and Educational Memorial Museum in Jizzakh organized a “Meeting of Three Generations” event
On 12 October 2023, the Sharaf Rashidov Science and Educational Memorial Museum in Jizzakh and the Sharaf Rashidov International Public Fund, in cooperation with the Khokimiyat of Jizzakh province, the “Nuroniy” Veterans Foundation, the National Association of NGOs of Uzbekistan, and the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, organized a “Meeting of Three Generations” event at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute.
The guests of the event were labor veterans, representatives of civil society institutions, teachers, students, and media representatives.
The following key events were organized during the “Meeting of Three Generations”:
1. Photo exhibition “Sharaf Rashidov – politician and diplomat”
The year 2022 marks the 105th anniversary of Sharaf Rashidovich Rashidov, an outstanding statesman, poet and writer, a man who continues to live in the good memory of people for the fourth decade.
The photo exhibition “Sharaf Rashidov – politician and diplomat” is devoted to another sphere of his multifaceted activity – foreign policy and diplomacy, which is little known to many people, as not all the archives of those years have been disclosed yet. Therefore, this side of his activity, rich in numerous foreign visits, search for difficult solutions to complex international problems practically remains little known. Based on the work with archival materials in the National Archive of Cinema-Photo Documents of Uzbekistan, to date, the materials of 55 visits of Sharaf Rashidov to 31 countries of the world have been documented. Further work with archives in this direction is underway. Young scientists, researchers, historians and political scientists will have interesting and exciting work in the future in national and other archives.
2. Presentation of Mukhtar Ganiev’s book “My Truth about Sharaf Rashidov”
The well-known TV journalist and publicist Mukhtar Ganiev, who personally met Sharaf Rashidov during his work in those years as a correspondent of the State TV and Radio of the USSR in Uzbekistan, in his book shared with readers his memories and research on the life and activities of this statesman and public figure of Uzbekistan. This book reveals new facets of the talent of the personality of the outstanding politician Sharaf Rashidov.
3. Premiere screening of the documentary film “Sharaf Rashidov the inspirer for the development of Mirzachul”
The staff of “Uzbekiston tarikhi” TV channel of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan presented to the audience a documentary film about Sharaf Rashidov’s outstanding achievements in the development of Mirzachul Steppe and his influence on the development of the region.
A discussion was held on the entire life and activities of Sharaf Rashidov for the benefit of the people and that his merits were not in vain, they have gone down in history, and descendants will always remember the glorious son of Uzbekistan not only here in his homeland, but also in many countries around the world, where people wanted to get freedom and prosperity for their Fatherland.
